SRIMATH BHAGAVATHGEETA
Srimathbhagavat geeta is the most spiritual and auspicious script in Sanatana dharma giving the essence of the nature of soul and the supreme soul (jeevatma and paramatma). This is the preaching of Lord Sri Krishna to Arjuna, the doubtful human being vexed towards doing his duty in the battle field of Kurukshetra where he is bound to fight along with his four brothers (Pandavas)against his kith and kin ie.Kauravas, who grabbed their kingdom by wrong means.
The Bhagavan Sri Krishna inspire Arjuna to perform his duty as a King in the battle field through 700 slokas grouped in to 18 chapters called 'Ahyayas' each having a specific title giving fine knowledge of the mundane and supra mundane and their interrelation.
Lord Krishna asserts the importance of doing the duty bound to one by birth with equanimity to wards success or failure. The Lord asks Arjuna have surrender in him with complete complete so that the Bhagavan will take care of him by all means. He assures his protection for those who put faith in him even in a smallest way by offering little water or a leaf, a flower or a fruit.
The Lord explains four ways of attaining him i.e Bhakti (devotion), Karma (good deeds), Jnana (wisdom), Dhayana (Meditation). These ways ways with vairagya ( renunciation from worldly interests) will lead to attainment of liberty from the vicious cycle birth and rebirth (Moksha).
